OUR MISSION

A Haitian-Led Mission of
Hope and Partnership

Haiti Needs Organization is a grassroots, Haitian-led movement dedicated to long-term community transformation. We believe in partnership rather than charity, working side-by-side with local leaders, educators, and families to create sustainable, lasting change from within.

Our approach is rooted in dignity, respect, and mutual empowerment. By focusing on education, health, and economic resilience, we equip communities with the resources they need to thrive independently. Together, we are building a legacy of hope that outlasts any single intervention.

Education Support

Back to School Program

200+ Students Supported

Every child in Haiti deserves the chance to walk through a school door with their head held high, supplies in hand, and hope in their heart. The HNO Back to School Program makes that possible for over 200 students each year.

We understand that for many families in Haiti, the cost of education is an impossible burden. School uniforms, tuition fees, notebooks, pens, and backpacks are not small expenses for families already struggling to survive. That is why HNO steps in every year before the new school year begins, providing everything a child needs to start strong and stay in school.

This program was born from our founder Louis Reginald's own experience watching children in his community drop out of school, not because they lacked intelligence or desire, but simply because their families could not afford the basics. With your support, we are changing that reality, one child at a time.

Youth Healing and Development

Music Therapy Program

70+ Participants

In a country that has faced tremendous pain, music is more than art. It is healing. The HNO Music Therapy Program gives young people in Haiti a safe space to express themselves, process trauma, and discover their own voice through the universal language of music.

Many children and youth in Haiti carry burdens no young person should carry. Poverty, loss, displacement, and uncertainty weigh heavily on young hearts. Our Music Therapy Program was created to offer something powerful in response: joy, community, and the transformative experience of creating something beautiful together.

Through professional instruments, structured lessons, and group sessions, participants learn discipline, teamwork, and self-expression. They grow in confidence. They find purpose. And in many cases, they discover a talent they never knew they had. Music of Hope is not just a program. It is a promise that every child's inner life matters.

"Music gives these young people something to hold onto. When everything around them feels uncertain, music reminds them of their own strength." —

Medical Care & Nutrition

120+ Meals per Month

In the Seguin and Port-au-Prince areas, many families live each day facing a difficult reality: limited access to basic medical care and no reliable, nourishing food source. For many children, this means growing up in a weakened state that leaves them more vulnerable to illness and unable to focus in school.

1. Daily Nourishing Meals Through the Community Garden

For a long time, HNO provided families with food kits every 4 months, an important form of support, but limited in frequency. With the launch of the Community Garden project, this is changing significantly. HNO is now able to provide fresh, nourishing meals every day, sourced directly from what the garden produces. This means:

More families can access food regularly, not just a few times a year

Meals are fresher, more nutritious, and locally grown

The community becomes more self sufficient, since its own land provides the food

2. First Aid and Direct Medical Support

HNO's health program offers a unique level of care. Reginald Louis, President of HNO, is a trained nurse who directly participates in providing first aid to those in need. This means families do not have to travel far or wait to receive an initial medical assessment, health guidance, or treatment for minor conditions. If a case exceeds the scope of first aid, HNO has a protocol in place to transfer the individual to a hospital for the specialized care they require.

3. Health Monitoring and Prevention

The HNO team regularly monitors children's growth and health, allowing early identification of signs of malnutrition or health concerns before they become serious. When needed, families are connected with additional local health resources.

Why This Matters

A hungry child cannot learn well. A family without access to medical care can lose everything they have built because of a single illness that could have been treated easily with early intervention. By combining a sustainable food source, the community garden, with a healthcare system that includes the professional expertise of President Reginald Louis as a nurse, HNO creates comprehensive support: one that addresses both the body, through nutrition, and health, through medical care. Together, these two pillars give every child a real chance to grow up healthy and succeed.

Current Impact: 120+ meals provided each month to vulnerable families, alongside a healthcare system that includes direct first aid support and a clear pathway for urgent cases, backed by the leadership and expertise of HNO's President.

Help us reach more families with food and medical care.
